Assignment 1 - Rob Gilligan - Who am I?

Hi my name is Rob Gilligan. Of course you know me already, but I'm doing this assignment late, as usual. That's not a bad place to start describing myself. Procrastination. Aside from maintaining a 4.0 GPA this school year, and preforming well on the PSAT (common goals for all junior students), I will strive to lessen my affinity to start on assignments at the last minute. I always put total effort into these assignments, however it adds easily avoidable stress to my life. More than anything I strive to enjoy my school day. Why trek through a bleak, monotonous, and barren wilderness when you can run along the seashore with explosions? Excitement is the spice of life. A dash is always good. After the school day I will either be running at track or cross country practice. The last two years I also played for the basketball team, but I decided this year to give it up for a plethora of reasons. Being on these 3 teams has allowed me to expand my network, meeting dozens of awesome people along the way. Now for the most enjoyable part to discuss: the things I do for fun. If I want to watch a TV show I'll certainly be watching Breaking Bad or the spin off titled Better Call Saul. Any music I'm listening to is probably from the hip hop genre. As you might have guessed from my after school activity selection, my true love is sports. I love to play essentially any sport with my friends. We even have our own fantasy football league. I'll add the hyperlink if you want to create your own league. I use the website to stay up to date on what players to add to my team. I pay close attention to baseball and basketball as well. The Reds are my favorite baseball team despite their recent trend of avoiding success. My favorite player on the team is the young pitcher Luis Castillo (image below). Hopefully you know have a better perception of me as a student. I look forward to this class.
