Assignment #6 - Peter Marino

I don’t really like to learn as much if it isn’t fun. I mean I still like to learn but the whole
fun part really facilitates the process. This is why I’ve always excelled in math and
science subjects. To me, math and science are fun. I don’t know why but when I
receive math problems or science problems that really stump me, instead of getting
frustrated entirely, I also get a lot of excitement. It’s still a little frustrating, but the
thought of thinking my way through a problem is invigorating. Chemistry last year was
a good example. Thinking logically about how something should work is one of my
strong points. When I would have questions with heat exchange and equilibrium, I
didn’t just memorize what I was supposed to do, I would think about what would
happen in real life, and then compare that to the results I had in my work. Having
chemistry helped me use my brain in more situations when I would usually just go
with my gut.
