Assignment 1- About me- Ava Nielsen

My name is Ava, and I love travel, art, and music. My love for travel presumably began at birth, because my dad is in the military, so I've traveled and lived in a lot of different places. Perhaps my #1 favorite place I've ever been is Crete, Greece. The beaches and fantastic food were definitely the highlight of living there. While I came to Kentucky over five years ago, I hope that after college I can get the opportunity to travel more; Japan, Hawaii and France are at the top of my bucket list. Another one of my long-time interests is art. While I'm not a great artist, I enjoy drawing and pottery, and I have taken various classes and gone to several summer camps for art. I especially enjoy going to art museums- I recently went to the Cincinnati art museum, which I really liked. Other than that, I'm and avid binge-watcher. Last weekend I watched Looking for Alaska, which I would definitely recommend (it's on Hulu)! This school year I'm hoping to get good grades and test scores, but also make time for hanging out with friends and extracurriculars.
