Assignment #4 - Peter Marino

Once when I was twelve, I broke my arm and I was on some pretty hard pain
medications. I’m not saying I was high or anything, but I was feeling pretty good.
Anyway, I began to think about the Fibonacci sequence which I had just recently
learned about. In mathematics, the Fibonacci numbers, commonly denoted Fₙ form
a sequence, called the Fibonacci sequence, such that each number is the sum of
the two preceding ones, starting from 0 and 1. The presence of the sequence can
be seen not only in nature but in the observable universe and the positions of the
planets and galaxies. This led me to begin to think about the movie, the matrix. In
the matrix, the physical world we know and live in is just a simulation created by
robots to hide the fact that we are being used to create energy. And not to say that
I thought I was in the matrix, but I did begin to question the true nature of our
universe. Whether it was created by chance, god, or some other physical being.
This resulted in me not thinking about anything harder than I needed to after this.
I now don’t really think about things anymore. I guess you could say I am a hedonist.
