Assignment 9- Abby Shadwick

We live in a fallen world. Yes, the world is still existing, although fallen in terms of certain social and moral values. That is why terrorism, war, and hatred exist. Now, to address how to handle these. America is in a unique position, in being the world power it is and entailing a democratic government unlike any other. We take for granted the extensive freedoms we have every day. Therefore, when these values are threatened, America has the right to take a stance against hostile parties to protect our interests. I would never advocate for the United States to start a war, or intervene in an irrelevant war, because of the human losses. The war on terrorism on the other hand, is not a war we started, but one we are determined to finish. There is never a "right" or "proper" time for war, but that would be in a perfect world.
