Assignment 6 - Jordan Grady - My Favorite Subject

One of the best decisions I’ve made thus far in high school would have to be taking AP Psychology. Although I’ve never favored science as a school subject, learning about mental disorders and the chemicals and parts of the brain intrigued me. Taking AP Psych taught me a great deal about understanding people and the effects of the problems they face on their mental state. My favorite part of the course was definitely learning about the purposes of the different regions of the brain, I found intriguing because it allowed me to better understand the causes of different disorders. I’m grateful to have found a subject I’m passionate about. Taking this class did not feel like work, it was like reading a good book. When you find a genuine interest in the classes you’re taking, it’s easier to retain the knowledge you gather from it, and I feel as though most of the content I learned from AP Psych will be applicable at many points in my life.
