I love TV. I will watch pretty much anything that's on. Even if I hate the show and it's messgae I will find myself sitting there unable to turn it off. Shows like the Bachelor and Keeping Up with the Kardashians fall under this category, and I don't hate to watch them. I've even sat and watched QVC alone, which was defintley a low moment of life for me. My favorite TV shows are probably Gossip Girl, the Office, and Arrested Development. Gossip Girl is so compelling, depicting such a different world than the one I live in. Arrested Development is debatably one of the funniest shows on TV. The humor that is developed is so clever and the show is almost like one big inside joke. And of course, the Office makes my list. The simplicity of the show is so funny and I love every character on the show. Recently as well, I have gotten in Downton Abbey with my parents. This show is like an old person's Gossip Girl, so obviously I love it. There are TV shows that I hate though. Grey's Anatomy, in my opinion, is the worst show ever. Shows like it, that I believe were only created to make people sad, make me so mad.
In terms of the Emmy's and the Nobel Prize, it makes sense as to why our society cares more about the Emmy's. Not everyone in our society is a scientist or even understands why those people are winning the Nobel Prize and I think it's ridiculous to demand the same level of attention for both events.
