Assignment 14 - Beppy Badgett - Happy Birdday
My family doesn't really have any set Thanksgiving traditions. When I lived in Maryland, I would go to my cousins' house and have Thanksgiving with all of my extended family. One of my favorite memories is when my sister, cousins, and I spent all day making up a play, and then after dinner we preformed it for the whole family. Now for Thanksgiving, we either go to my grandparents house in Louisville, or they come to our house. My aunt always says "The Badgett's are really good at disguising desserts as side dishes", and this is true. We eats things like sweet potato casserole, corn pudding, scalloped pineapple, and strawberry salad, which are all dishes consisting of the fruit or vegetable in the name and a whole lot of sugar. All of these recipes come from a really old cookbook my Grandma has, and they are only made for special holidays.
