Assignment #13 - Andrea Dubon - Jonathan swift is wrong

Jonathan's modest proposal while it did make good points is the wrong approach. Swift proposes we create a market for eating the poor, I say he's looking at the wrong end of the spectrum. Let's eat the rich.(i'm looking at you jeff bezos)Firstly this would solve our issues with the wealthy hoarding resources since their wealth would be dispersed among the people after their consumption. Since the top 1% typically has achieved this level of wealth through the exploitation of the poor and through the ownership of multimillion dolor businesses eating them would basically guarantee a raise in wages among blue collar workers. Now for the flavor. Swift is wrong for going after the poor. He cites them as being plentiful as an excuse to eat them while entirely overlooking how poor the quality of meat would be. The rich are basically raise to be eaten. Their wealth has gained them access to some of the healthiest and best food in the world meaning they are the grass fed cow equivalent among humans. Their low numbers along with their decadent flavors make them to be the best option for consumption. As i'm sure we're all aware their aren't many of the rich to go around. This means that their meat will be limited in quantity BUT it also means it'll be easy to get since we, the other classes, can overpower them. While their wealth may buy them security teams they also attract billions of hunters who's hunger cannot be satiated without a bourgeoisie burger. So while Swift made a valiant proposal at getting us to eat the poor i think that he as an upperclass rich man was motivated primarily in attempts to distract us off the scent of his scrumptious peers. (this is entirely a joke guys i'm not crazy..........unless)
