One of the most problematic issues in America is the widespread increase in school shootings. It seems like every time I turn around, some depressed kid in Wyoming has brought a gun to school and opened fire on defenseless students. Now, the blame for this terrible event can't all be placed on the shooter. The students who failed to protect themselves are equally at fault, as is the government who restricts the students' 2nd Amendment right.
If everyone had guns, there would be no issues. No longer would an ineffective teacher stand by as they fail to protect their beloved students. No longer would schools have to wait for Law Enforcement in order for any effective action to be taken. Instead, when a strange man is running through the school with a semi-automatic rifle, Jimmy from your math class can take his pistol from his backpack and shoot the intruder through the skull. Now, doesn't that sound so much easier.
Yes, I am suggesting a nationwide removal of gun control policies. Who is the government to say who can or can't own a gun and where they can or can't bring it? I don't know about you, but to me that seems like clear discrimination. Our forefathers did not create this beautiful nation just for some stuck up prig of a politician to tell me I can't bring my AR-15 to school.
We have a right to protect ourselves from any would-be school shooters, and the government shouldn't be able to take that away from us. And as it says in the Declaration of Independence, "if an unjust tyranny encroaches upon your liberties, you have the right, inherent within you, to disobey their laws and bring your gun to school."
