Paradox Interactive makes extremely complicated video games, which I spend to much time playing. Stellaris is a grand strategy game where you take an empire from its newly discovered FTL technology to galactic dominance over other aspiring species and empires. Before you start the game, you can either choose a pre-made empire, or make your own. If you make your own, that involves designing your species, which is incredibly important. I usually make extremely tech focused empires, so this guide will be on how to make a strong tech based species. To do this, first select "New Game," then a list of species pops up. Click "Create New," and then it opens up the empire creation screen. For appearance, select "Fungoid" and then pick your favorite mushroom before clicking next. Why would you ever go with anything but mushrooms after all? For the next tab, its up to you to decide how much work you want to do, you can either click randomize or make up all of the names yourself. On the next tab, select Fungoid 4 so you can get your good old Glorp Starfleets, and then we get into the good stuff. For species traits, the essentials are intelligent and either natural physicists or engineers. You will then need to take a bad trait to even out the points, I suggest sedentary or deviants. If you want to you can take both and throw in a rapid breeders or a traditional in as well. If you're planning on using a lot of robots you can also take weak instead of sedentary.

This raps up the species creation, if anybody actually gets the game and wants me to do another thing like this on the empire creation part I can make another guide.
