Assignment 17- Katherine Henson- Robert Luketic

I am going to review two very different movies by director Robert Luketic, 21 and Legally Blond. Legally Blond is a classic chick flick that stars Reese Witherspoon as Elle Woods, a ditzy blond who goes to Harvard to win back her ex and becomes a successful lawyer. Elle Woods' innocent and bubbly personality makes the movie enjoyable and fun to watch. Legally Blond and 21 have very different vibes. 21 is about a group of students and a teacher from MIT who count cards in blackjack and frequently go to Vegas to win crazy amounts of money. Because counting cards is illegal, the threat of pit bosses makes this movie an action thriller. Both movies are set at elite Northeastern school, and both put the main character in fish out of water situations. Malibu Barbie at Harvard, and nerd in Las Vegas. However, the direction of Luketic was very different for both movies. I enjoyed and highly recommend both films.
