Assignment 17 - Beppy Badgett - Little Women

I had heard a lot about Little Women before I saw it, from friends that had read the book to people that had already seen the movie 4 times in one week. I went in expecting a cinematic masterpiece and was not disappointed. The variety of charming characters provided every viewer with someone they could relate to. Each with their own well developed personalities, you may think it would be tricky to truly explore everyone in 2 hours but the director did a fantastic job. Little Women chronicles the lives of four sisters over about a 10 year period, and instead of playing the story chronologically, the movie is arranged connecting moments from the girls childhood to their adult years. You may think this constant switching back and forth would be confusing and hard to follow, but the production team made it clear by aging the characters and displaying events from the girls childhood with a warmer filter and events from later on with cool tones.

I saw this movie with friends and we all throughly enjoyed it. They both cried at points and we all really appreciated the choice of actors.
