1. Make all-state honor band
2. Figure out what I want to do with myself
3. Retire
I have auditioned for all-state the past two years. It's a two-cut process, and i made the first cut as a sophomore but failed this year. Since I've always made all-district, I've gotten lazy at practicing for the all-state audition, so my goal is to fix that and make the band. Unfortunately, there is a degree of luck when you're playing clarinet, and there are five-hundred other people also trying out on the same instrument.
I have very little idea of what I want to do. I think I want to be a professor in whatever it is, but I'm still very unsure of what field, and I'm not positive I want to be a professor either. By the time I'm done with college, then I hope I have an idea of what I want to do with myself, or else my life may not be the best. The problem is that I like to have as many options as possible, which of course makes choosing a lot more difficult.
One thing I hate about America is its business practices. Companies here do their best to exploit the workforce, but the workforce doesn't fight back. As soon as I reasonably can, I want to get out of this exploitative system. I hate it when I feel other people are taking advantage of me, and I also don't like to work hard. I can motivate myself to do so, but its very exhausting, and I want time to relax in my life.
