Assignment 19- Madison Underwood- Shooting for the Moon, and Landing Among the Stars
Growing up, my dad always told me I could do anything I set my mind to. Now I know this can be a bit of a trite statement, but I believe that this single phrase reiterated to me countless times as a child has shaped me into the person I am today. From a young age, my parents were encouraging me to set goals and create a means by which to obtain them. This incited a sense of determination and motivation in me as a child that has persisted and allowed me to challenge myself in all areas of my life. My dad, who still says this to me (especially when college is the topic of conversation), grew up having to work for his future and told me to do the same. Because of his advice, I strive to always be better than the day before and I strive to make an impact with my life.
